Born in Warsaw, Poland, Marcin Makowski’s passion for technology began at the early age of six when he started taking apart household electronics with his father’s soldering iron, removing transistors, diodes, and chips from circuit boards and rebuilding them. By the age of eight, he had already built his first microcomputer. His love for tinkering and innovation quickly evolved, and at 13, while still living in Poland, Marcin began earning money by repairing computers for friends. This early start paved the way for a lifelong career in technology.
Professional Journey
When Marcin was 18, his family moved to the United States, where he continued to pursue his passion for electronics and technology. His career took off with roles at companies such as CC-Teknologies, Avon, AV Lifestyle, and Best Buy. Throughout his extensive career, Marcin has specialized in installing, servicing, and managing a wide range of low-voltage systems, from commercial audio/video setups to fire alarms and access control systems. His experience also includes leading teams of technicians, designing and selling new projects, and ensuring that every job is completed with the highest standards. Macin’s certified technical skills are in Crestron Beginner and Advanced Programmer, Honeywell Burglar Alarms, Exaq Technologies Certification, HME All Levels Certificates and all levels of Lutron.
